How to use Rank Tracker
Rank tracker is the core of Sitechecker. It helps you track your website SEO rankings regularly and find out what of your actions led to growth and be the first to know when something critical happens. With Rank Tracker you can easily track how fixing errors on your website improves your ranking.
How it works
Rank tracker daily parses search results for keywords you choose and shows you unique data that you won’t be able to find on Google Search Console. With Rank Tracker you see real search results for specific language, search engine and country you choose while setting up the project.
How to use
1 Add Your Keywords
To start using Rank Tracker, you need to add keywords. You can do this in Project Editing on the last step.
To add keywords, you need to choose settings for tracking:
- Search Engine
It allows you to get the most precise results.
The next step would be entering the keywords you would like to track.
You can do it in a couple of different ways:
1 Type all of them manually.
2 Use button “Suggest keywords”
3 Importing a file
4 Adding them with groups and pages with the help of PRO Editor
In a case with PRO Editor, you may add keywords you want to track and convert them into a group. Click “Save”
We recommend using Rank Tracker for keywords you plan to rank. Rank Tracker will show you keyword statistics, even if you don’t have it in your Search Console.
Additionally, we strongly recommend adding as many keywords for tracking as your limits allow you.
2 See Your Rankings
After you’ve added the keywords, positions data starts to get collected. Usually, you will be able to see the first results within a couple of hours. After that, the data is updated once a day.
You can see a couple of graphs with results. The first one shows you an overall trend for your added keywords.
Below that, you can see the chart with all the keywords and their positions day by day.
3 Filter Results
You can filter tracker results to focus on the data that is important for you.
Filter the data on the main graph by selecting one of the keywords groups: Top 1, Top 3 etc.
Filter keywords by ranking changes:
If you’ve added keywords with groups and pages with the help of Pro Editor, you can use them as filter for tracker results:
4 Check the detailed SEPR stats
Other than seeing the data about the positions of any keyword, you can take a more in-depth look into it. If you click on the arrow near the keyword, you will see a more detailed graph of position changes.
If you click the keyword itself, you will see SERP results for this particular keyword:
In opened interface, you can analyze SERP for a keyword, see trends and filter out the results.
Use Rank Tracker to track the growth of your key positions, find trends and opportunities with ease.
