Table of Contents

Level 1

1.1 Create the first project

You will create your first project automatically after you subscribe.

1.2 Verify email address

We do suggest verifying your email address. You won't receive any helpful product notifications if your email has not been verified.

For example, you might miss an email alert when any page on your website becomes broken or your robots.txt file is changed.

Please note that the email verification letter might be in the spam folder. The email subject is "Please confirm your email" the sender is "notifications@sitechecker.pro." You can also resend a verification email in your account email notification settings.

1.3 Add more than ten keywords

To get the most out of Rank Tracker, we strongly recommend adding more than ten keywords. To add keywords, open your project settings, and choose the Keywords tab. Just type your keywords or import them from your Google Search Console or by using the .xlsx file.

If you don't know which keywords to track, use the "Research keywords" button.

To mark this step as done you need to add more than ten keywords within one project.

1.4 Visit the issues page

On the issues screen, you see all the pages affected by a specific issue or a filter (canonical is missing or 301 redirects, for example.) To get to the issue page, click on the View all affected pages button or on any issue in the list.

1.5 View Page audit

Page audit helps you to run an on-page SEO optimization. To open it, click on any URL on the Site Audit Issues page.

Within the page audit you will find tons of useful on-page SEO data:

  • Page issues list and the history log
  • Page content analysis (overall structure, headers, keywords density and more)
  • Page links analysis (internal, external, anchors and even broken external links)
  • Page media and resources analysis (images, css, js)
  • Page speed insights
  • Page localization data
  • Page code

Connect your Google Search Console account and get access to a few mighty features within page audit:

  • Page search metrics from your Google Search Console.
  • Keywords gap for this particular page from your Google Search Console.

1.6 View Rank Tracker report

Rank Tracker helps you track website rankings in any geo, device, and search engine. Find Rank Tracker in the left navigation bar below Site Monitoring.

Rank Tracker is one of the top tools within Sitechecker. Find out more about it in the short video guide below.

Level 2

2.1 Connect Google Search Console

You can connect your Google Search Console account when creating your first project. We strongly recommend connecting it. We use the data from GSC to create unique dashboards and SEO to-dos to grow your SEO. Here's the detailed guide on connecting GSC

2.2 Create one more project

To create one more project, go to the projects list by clicking on the Sitechecker logo on the left. Then click on the "+ Create Project" button. Also, you can find the "Create Project" button in the projects dropdown select on the left.

2.3 Fix any website issue

To fix any issue, you need to update your website and then recrawl it.

For example, you have an issue "Title is empty" for the page "A." The issue means that the title on this page is left blank with no content (e.g. "<title></title>").

To fix it, you need to edit your page "A" and fill in the title tag.

Then you need to recrawl your website. You can do that manually by clicking on the Recrawl button in the header. Another option is to wait till Sitechecker automatically recrawls your website. By, it's happening every three days.

You will see fixed issues in your Site Audit issues list. The number on the right shows how many of such issues have been fixed.

To check specific pages with fixed or added issues use Site Monitoring feed.

2.4 Recrawl the website

To recrawl the website, you need to click on the Recrawl button in the Site Audit header.

On the free trial you can manually recrawl any website once in 24 hours.

2.5 Suggest keywords from GSC

The easiest way to add keywords is to use keyword suggestions from your connected Google Search Console account. You can suggest keywords in your project settings in the Keywords tab. To do that, click on the Import keywords and choose From Google Search Console.

Then you will see the list of high-potential keywords from Google Search Console you don't monitor in Rank Tracker yet.

2.6 Add more than 30 keywords

The more keywords you add, the more progress you can track. You can add more keywords to your existing project in the project settings in the Keywords tab. To mark this step as done you need to add more than 30 keywords within one project. The easiest way to find keyword ideas is to use Sitechecker suggestions by clicking on Research keywords button.

2.7 Check SERP analysis for a keyword

You can see a detailed SERP analysis for any keyword your track on Rank Tracker. To check it, click on the SERP button near the keyword name.

Then you will see the detailed SERP analysis with up to top100 SERP results.

Use filters to narrow the results and find your competitors.

To verify the SERP results click on the View snapshot button.

By clicking on it you will see the actual SERP results crawled by Sitechecker.
